If you are coming from Pollie's blog Pollie's Place, I'm so glad you're here! After the dreary starkness of winter (we even got snow in Houston this year!), I'm always ready for the renewal and growth that come with spring. Granted, spring only lasts a few weeks down here before summer forces her way in, but I'll enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts. Spring is such a happy season with all the flowers and colors so I love incorporating that feel all over my house.

First up on my spring home tour is my entryway. Your entryway is the perfect place to include some seasonal decor so it welcomes everyone into your home. If you're like me, it can be very overwhelming to decorate your whole house for every season/holiday. Instead, pick one space, and really focus on making it exactly how you want it. Next year, you can add another space. For this space, I put my spring hoop wreaths back up that I made last year. I added some floral pillows to the church pew I made. For the front door, I found that adorable hanging umbrella at Hobby Lobby and added the most realistic-looking faux tulips I found on Amazon here. How stinking' cute is this!?

I was so inspired by Erin's @cottonstem potting bench idea from last year that I wanted to put my own spin on it this year. I filled this vintage wooden trough with aged pots from Hobby Lobby. Then, I bought a few sprigs of flowers, cut them apart, and stuffed them all over to look like a wildflower container garden. I think it's absolutely gorgeous and perfect for spring and summer.

I scored that pillow with the blue flower on clearance at Steinmart for only $5! I love when that happens. The other pillows came from Good Will. I have a spider plant (that I'm actually keeping alive) in a vintage crock paired with my rain boots I bought from Target years ago.

In my recessed art niche, I have hanging birdcages that I bought from Hobby Lobby years ago. I just spray painted them white and aged them with a brown glaze. The birds on the wall are just paper that I folded and attached with double-sided mounting tape.

I love my welcoming spring entryway!

Our next stop is the dining room where I used soft pastels to create a sweet spring tablescape.
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/285d67_3eb653925f614e2b8911556dec6185fb~mv2_d_4515_3264_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_708,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/285d67_3eb653925f614e2b8911556dec6185fb~mv2_d_4515_3264_s_4_2.jpg)
Creating tablescapes on this 12' table I built is so much fun, but it can get pretty pricy so I try to use what I have on hand or find things on sale. On the side board, I filled a dough bowl with lamb's ear I already had on hand with little vintage bottles and sprigs of lavender I used on last year's spring mantel.

As you can imagine, I can't find a table runner long enough so I bought 6 short table runners from IKEA that I ran across the table.
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/285d67_c0a03a54e17e4117913a0f26ddb4f942~mv2_d_2925_4437_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_1487,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/285d67_c0a03a54e17e4117913a0f26ddb4f942~mv2_d_2925_4437_s_4_2.jpg)
Each table runner got its own centerpiece of vintage white pitchers I already had filled with half off florals from Hobby Lobby and brass candlesticks I've been collecting from thrift stores.

For the individual place settings, I started with my shiplap chargers as the base (you can buy them here). I used glass dinner plates next so I can see more of the shiplap chargers (I bought mine on Amazon here). The adorable pink small plates came from IKEA. I already had the sage green napkins and gold napkin rings on hand. I bought a few sprigs of florals and cut them apart to stuff into the napkin rings.

I love the mix of the soft pastel colors and the different materials/textures.

Our last area to check out is the living room. We spend a lot of time in here so it needs to be functional.
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/285d67_94611084dae348bc8377ccff963d3b35~mv2_d_4775_3158_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_648,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/285d67_94611084dae348bc8377ccff963d3b35~mv2_d_4775_3158_s_4_2.jpg)
I adore my new plate rack ring from Painted Fox Home that I'm using to hold books on the coffee table. I had fun staging it with some tulips, but that didn't last long with 2 little ones running around.
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/285d67_e579a79e225b4d869179273792151666~mv2_d_3991_3235_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_794,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/285d67_e579a79e225b4d869179273792151666~mv2_d_3991_3235_s_4_2.jpg)
The mantel has one of my favorite projects I've done so far: a hoola hoop wreath! I started with a giant hoola hoop and cut off the long stems of faux florals. I just used hot glue to attach them, and I love the statement this piece makes. It'll be so much fun to redo for different seasons. or with balloons for birthday parties.

The Flower Market words are plywood cutouts from my friend Niki @carpenterfarmhouse. I added a few frosted eucalyptus garlands and more thrifted brass candlesticks to finish the mantel.
![](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/285d67_7a2ff0ed9db34378b306ce3198bd4792~mv2_d_4023_3218_s_4_2.jpg/v1/fill/w_980,h_784,al_c,q_85,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_avif,quality_auto/285d67_7a2ff0ed9db34378b306ce3198bd4792~mv2_d_4023_3218_s_4_2.jpg)
To the left of the mantel, I hung an open frame I scored at Good Will for $5! Inside the frame hangs my metal post box from Decor Steals holding tons more of the same artificial tulips I linked earlier.

I have so much fun changing up this post box with each season. I'm all about decor that can be easily changed up for different seasons. And I love the 3D art effect here.

On my shelves, I just added simple touches of spring with some green glass bottles I found for $2 each at Good Will. They pair perfectly with my gray letter board from Inspiration Boards. This board is extra awesome because it's super affordable and comes with cool emojis and symbols (you can see the flower symbol in this pic) and that wooden stand.

The ottoman in front of the fireplace is holding one of my favorite new goodies: a flower trug. I had no idea that's what you call those things, but I quickly found out when I typed in "flower carrying basket." Who knew? This is another one of those pieces that I'm so excited to use in a ton of different ways. I love versatile pieces like that.

My side tables hold small touches of spring, like this vintage ironstone bowl filled with cotton and lamb's ear. The soft green of the lamb's ear pairs perfectly with the cotton, and I use that combo throughout my home.

And, that's it, folks. I hope you enjoyed my spring home tour and that I was able to inspire you in some way.
