After seeing a cute picture of a dollhouse reno on Pinterest, I decided to make over a Melissa & Doug dollhouse for Lucy for Christmas. I was hooked. Creating miniature spaces has become a passion of mine, and I know a lot of you would love it, too. Here's what I use to create unique tiny spaces.

I'm so glad I found this in the model car section of a craft store. I use it for a million things, like faucets, hairpin legs, or light fixtures.
Velvet Paper

This is the coolest paper ever. It feels exactly like velvet, and it's perfect for printing realistic miniature rugs.
Adhesive Cork Roll

This is what I use to make realistic bricks. I individually cut the cork into rectangles, and then I can just peel off the backing and stick it to the surface.
Marble Contact Paper

This paper is perfect for marble countertops, floors, or walls. The glossy surface makes it much more realistic than marble scrapbook paper.
Spackling

I use this as my "grout" between my bricks and to fill in any cracks on the mini wood pieces I make.
Polymer Clay

I have seen some truly amazing things made with this clay. I mostly use it for creating stone fireplaces.
